About this Edition
The inaugural APLF Dubai 2022, which took place at the Dubai World Trade Centre from 30th March to 1st April, marked a significant milestone for the leather and fashion industry. With its traditional venue in Hong Kong unavailable, Dubai stepped in to host this key event. The opening ceremony, held on the 29th March, was an exclusive, invitation-only affair.
Throughout the show, APLF Dubai 2022 showcased an extensive range of products and services from the leather supply chain. Exhibitors displayed raw, crut, and finished leathers, alongside chemicals, dyes, tanning machinery, and design services. The event drew over 500 companies, presenting their latest innovations across three main categories: Leather, Materials+, and Fashion Access. This gathering was a pivotal moment for shaping the Spring-Summer 2023 and Fall-Winter 2022-23 fashion seasons.
During the event, 60,000 visitors had the opportunity to network with industry leaders, engage with influential buyers, and participate in conferences and workshops. These sessions focused on forecasting future trends and addressing the challenges faced by leather product manufacturers and suppliers.
