About this Edition
The 38th edition of Art Brussels, held from 28 April to 1 May, was a momentous occasion for the European fine art community. After a hiatus due to the pandemic, the event in Brussels, Belgium, welcomed art enthusiasts back to Tour & Taxis. Over 25,000 collectors and art lovers gathered to celebrate the reunion and immerse themselves in the rich European artistic and cultural scene.
With more than 150 galleries participating, the exhibition showcased a diverse range of art across four sectors. The PRIME sector featured well-established modern artists, while the DISCOVERY section provided a platform for emerging artists and their recent works. The REDISCOVERY sector shone a light on under-recognised 20th-century works and artists. Additionally, the INVITED section acknowledged new market shifts by supporting young galleries that challenge traditional models. SOLO presentations were also a highlight, focusing on the individual artists' bodies of work.
Throughout the show, Art Brussels 2022 fostered a strong international presence, enabling participants to broaden their professional networks. Daily guided visits enriched the experience, offering insights into the artists and works on display. These tours also served as a catalyst for networking among attendees.
