About this Edition
In 2022, Bordeaux Wine Week marked a significant evolution in the trade show industry by merging with Vinexposium and Comexposium. The event transformed into a ten-day celebration spread across multiple locations in Paris, shifting the paradigm of traditional wine and spirit events. Bordeaux Wine Week separated the festive elements from the business and educational components, organizing them into five main events. These included the Bordeaux Wine Festival, the Bordeaux Grands Crus Week-End, the ‘Picasso, the effervescence of shapes’ exhibition, the ‘Act for Change’ Symposium, and the WOW! Meetings.
During the event, WOW! Meetings on 22 – 23 June at Hangar 14 became the first trade show dedicated to certified organic wines and spirits. It served as a platform for French and international buyers to source premium certified products directly from top regional organic producers and trading companies.
Furthermore, the Act for Change symposium, held on 20 – 21 June at the Cite du Vin museum, gathered industry experts and members to discuss the future of wine. Panel discussions and lectures focused on the topic 'Wine in 2030', offering insights into the anticipated developments and their implications for wine and spirit production and distribution.
