About this Edition
The annual EASL Congress served as a significant gathering for hepatology professionals. Held from 27 to 30 May 2026 at Fira Barcelona - Gran Via, the event attracted over 8,000 delegates who exchanged knowledge and explored the latest research in liver health. A pre-congress event, the Global Consensus Meeting on Harmonising the Definition of ACLF, took place on 26 May at the Porta Fira Hotel Plaza Europa.
The programme of EASL Congress 2026 included various formats designed to cater to diverse interests and attendance goals. The Postgraduate Course addressed current and next-generation diagnostics in hepatology, while the Skills Learning Centre offered sessions on liver and spleen elastography, liver haemodynamics, and more.
