About this Edition
The 62nd ERA Congress took place in Vienna from 4 to 7 June 2025, focusing on the theme Beyond Nephrology. The event, hosted at the Austria Center Vienna, included both virtual sessions and an in-person gathering, attracting over 90 exhibitors and around 9,000 participants from across the globe.
During the event, professionals from approximately 130 countries, including the UK, USA, Germany, Spain, Italy, and France, convened to share knowledge on new developments in clinical practice, research findings, and innovations in kidney care. The ERA Congress 2025 featured a diverse scientific program centered on Game Changers in Nephrology, organized into seven tracks:
- Acute kidney injury (AKI) and critical care nephrology;
- Chronic kidney disease (CKD);
- Dialysis;
- Glomerular and tubulo-interstitial diseases;
- Hypertension and diabetes;
- Kidney transplantation;
- Physiology, cell biology and genetic diseases.
The program included plenary lectures, mini lectures, creative labs, symposia, and educational sessions. Highlights such as the Late Breaking Clinical Trials and the prestigious ERA Awards 2025 were among the most anticipated parts of the congress.
