About this Edition
FERMEX JAPAN, an annual event dedicated to fermented and brewed foods and beverages, concluded its 2025 edition at Tokyo Big Sight. Over 36,000 visitors from the food and beverage (F&B) sector attended the event from 16 to 18 July. The expo provided a platform for local and international participants to showcase their latest products, discern industry trends, and forge new partnerships.
Throughout the show, FERMEX JAPAN 2025 emphasized the various facets of the fermented and brewed food industry. The exhibition was an ideal venue for decision-makers and experts to network and discuss strategies for sector advancement.
The expo featured four specialized areas:
- Fermented and Brewing Food Products, Ingredients Area: This section highlighted an array of fermented foods, ingredients, and microorganisms, including traditional vinegar, miso, soy sauce, pickles, kimchi, dairy products, koji, yeast, and lactic acid bacteria.
- Fermented and Brewing Food Machinery Area: Attendees saw innovations like rice washing machines, rice steaming machines, fermenters, sterilization tools, and packaging machinery.
- Research and Development Area: This part of the expo showcased cutting-edge microbiome analysis equipment, measurement devices, and component analysis tools.
- HACCP and Infection Control Area: This zone focused on food safety, featuring food poisoning prevention products, antibacterial solutions, and HACCP management systems.
FERMEX JAPAN 2025 also offered a rich side program with more than 50 seminars, providing educational content and discussions to enhance attendees' knowledge and offer valuable industry insights.
