About this Edition
The annual celebration of Finnish-American and Nordic culture, FinnFest 2025, graced Duluth, Minnesota, for the third time. This cultural event unfolded from 31 July to 3 August at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center (DECC), starting with special tours and seminars on the first day. The festival's activities spanned from 1 to 3 August, immersing attendees in a vibrant showcase of heritage and community.
During the event, the Tori Nordic Fair emerged as a traditional marketplace, where Nordic-owned businesses displayed a variety of products and services. Visitors had the chance to explore fashion items, cosmetics, handcrafted objects, sauna supplies, and books, among other Nordic-inspired goods.
Throughout the show, FinnFest 2025 offered a rich programme that included lectures, presentations, workshops, tournaments, awards, talks, and entertainment performances. These activities fostered connections within the Finnish-American community and highlighted aspects of Finnish language, cuisine, sauna, arts, and sustainable living. Expats and individuals with Finnish heritage shared their personal narratives, further enriching the cultural tapestry of the event.
