About this Edition
The fifth edition of InfraTech in Essen, a pivotal event for the infrastructure and civil-engineering sector, took place from 20 to 22 September 2022. Originally scheduled for 11 - 13 January 2022, the event was rescheduled, unfolding under the theme "Rethinking Infrastructure". This theme highlighted the importance of dialogue, advice, and cooperation among government bodies, industry experts, and academics.
Throughout the show, participants explored four main theme areas: "Civil Engineering", "Sewerage and Drainage", "Public Space and Mobility", and "Energy and Environment". The exhibition floor brought together over 200 exhibitors and 8,000 visitors, fostering an environment ripe for discovering cutting-edge infrastructural solutions. During the event, attendees engaged in valuable business and networking opportunities, while also attending a diverse program of lectures. These sessions delved into pressing industry challenges and opportunities, such as digitisation, sustainability, energy transition, and major renovations.
In addition to the business aspects, InfraTech Essen 2022 celebrated innovation with the fourth InfraTech Innovation Prize, which recognized the most forward-thinking ideas in the sector.
